I've been waiting for Monsters Inc sequel for about eleven years maybe. Now, Pixar gives us not a sequel but a prequel from Monsters. Inc. Let's see if Monsters University can catch my heart or not :)
Genre : Animation
Running time : 110 min
Release Date : 21st June 2013
a brief storyline
Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn't always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn't stand each other. "Monsters University" unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends. Written by Disney/Pixar
a fair review
I recommend you to watch this movie
only if you love animation-genre. For me, the storyline is kinda boring at the beginning of the movie, but the mood is successfully keeping up until the end of the movie. However, this movie is still cute to watch and yes, it has a meaning to the child audiences. Andd, guess what, it's not Pixar if there isn't a short movie. I love The Blue Umbrella, it's really cute.
You know, the moment when you come into university world is amazing ( for me it's true ). Meet your dorm-partner, come into the classroom, join a club, and also meet the evil lecturer are some amazing moments you can only find in university. I felt this emotion when I saw Mike Wazowski in this movie, a student with his dream-come-true wannabe. He has everything that makes him a model student, like his studying and book interest. Until he meets Sullivan, a blue furry monster who comes from a popular family, Mike still believe that he can be a 'Scarer'. Eventhough Mike & Sullivan's meeting isn't going well, but their friendship fortunately is gradually coming forever.
I think all of monster characters here are getting the same attention as Mike & Sullivan. I love how Pixar really creates every single cute monsters in this movie. You can see any shape, any color, any forms of monsters and I like it. The setting, I mean the university which is called
M.U is also perfectly made. Thanks to Pixar for this genius animation, I can imagine well about these all
not-scary-monsters world.
a brief closure
Because I love animation movie and I also do love Monsters. Inc, so I have this decision to watch Monsters University. I think, as a prequel, this movie is quite good. Don't expect funny things to be appeared but enjoy the intense storyline behind the movie. Eventhough the cinema is full of children audiences, as an adult I still enjoy this child-looks-alike movie. In short, Monsters University can't catch my whole heart but
almost. Arghh, I miss Monsters Inc.
